The RM500Q 5G module ‘’A new advanced and optimized version available on the market’’

Quectel Wireless Solutions has just announced the availability of its advanced 5G RM500Q module powered by the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin 32GB system-on-module. Designed to ensure a reliable and secure connection of devices and people to networks and services, this module aims to accelerate the future wave of automation, robotics and AI-based IoT.

The RM500Q 5G module

As a leading global IoT solution provider, Quectel aims to simplify the lives of its customers by providing them with well thought out and efficient products. In fact, the addition of the Jetson AGX Orin 32GB SSM will enable the Quectel RM500Q series 5G module for frequencies below 6 GHz to simultaneously support multiple AI application cases using an NVIDIA Ampere GPU architecture.

In addition, the combination of the ready-to-use 5G RM500Q module with the Jetson edge AI platform will simplify the development of devices as well as the deployment and management of their applications dedicated to IoT, smart cities and connected companies. This while improving product stability.

Note that this eco-efficient, compact and scalable platform includes pre-trained AI models, software development kits and support for cloud-native technologies. Meanwhile, the 5G RM500Q module offers optional multi-constellation LTE and GNSS connectivity as well as Quectel’s enhanced AT commands. The user can also choose between USB 3.1 or PC 3.0 interface.
